I serve as the strategic lead for the design system's evolution, providing governance that ensures brand consistency across Google's marketing ecosystem.

Internal management tool to become a new revenue stream for the company.
The team had the talent; the opportunity lay in setting the proper practices to scale. With my experience leading teams in Commerce and getting things done in Startups, shifting the culture around Design and Tech was the perfect challenge.
“The text is 3.5 pixels smaller than it should” was a common quality assurance task that designers assigned to developers when I arrived.
I created, owned and maintained the team's design system, becoming an expert at it, to reduce the handover time by HALF and elimiated the recurring QA debt.
Now the team could focus on delivering.
As the Team Design Lead, I also conducted user research, defined product flows, build functional prototypes, facilitated design critiques and handover to the tech team, all while managing stakeholders expectations.

Being both Architect and Musician, Ale had an eye (and ear!) for a kind of design.
After a year of learning from him at university, I got to design his album cover. He loved it so much, that –from then on– I designed all his album covers and even took on his visual identity as an Architect.
While problem solving through the whole design process is what I enjoy the most; before working with digital products and studying user experience, I had my bachelor's degree in Graphic Design.
